# What you get

> Every file a Koppar design produces: the KiCad 10 schematic and board, the DRC report, Gerbers, IPC-2581, ODB++, a priced BOM and the assembly bundle.

Every file is a standard format. The KiCad files open in KiCad 10 with real library symbols and footprints. The fab files are what a fab's CAM department asks for.

## The KiCad project

| File | What it is |
| - | - |
| `circuit.kicad_sch` | The schematic. Real library symbols, a sheet per function on larger designs. |
| `circuit.kicad_pcb` | The board. Footprints placed, tracks routed, ground and power zones filled. Editable. |
| `circuit.kicad_pro` | The project file. Carries the net classes, the design rules and the fab's minimums, so KiCad's DRC agrees with ours. |
| `circuit.net` | The netlist the schematic compiled to. |
| `circuit.py` | The SKiDL source the schematic was generated from. |

Part sourcing is written into the design: every footprint and symbol carries the manufacturer, the part number and the LCSC number as hidden fields.

## Checks

| File | What it is |
| - | - |
| `circuit.drc.json` | KiCad's design-rule report after a zone refill. Zero means zero. Anything else is listed with its location. |
| `dfm.json` | The assembly report: short-stock rows, designators an assembler's parser will not read, extended-library parts and the fee they imply. |
| `ORDER.md` | The finest track and smallest drill the copper forces, so the fab order matches the board. |

## Fab files

Released only for a board with zero DRC errors and nothing unconnected.

| File | What it is |
| - | - |
| `gerbers.zip` | Gerber layers and Excellon drill files. |
| `circuit-ipc2581.xml` | IPC-2581, next to the Gerbers, for a CAM handoff that wants one file. |
| ODB++ archive | The same board as ODB++. |
| `order.zip` | The assembly bundle: Gerbers, `cpl.csv` (pick and place, with rotations corrected per package), `bom-assembly.csv` with LCSC part numbers, and `ORDER.md`, the settings to pick at the fab with the DFM findings. |

## Bill of materials

`bom.csv` lists every part matched to a distributor listing (Mouser or JLCPCB/LCSC), with its stock, the unit price at your quantity and the total. A line with no stock left is flagged, with alternates to pick from. See [Manufacturing](/manufacturing#bill-of-materials).

## 3D

| File | What it is |
| - | - |
| `board.glb` | The board as a 3D model, the same export KiCad's viewer uses. The studio shows it in the browser. |
| STEP | Exported on request from the board tools, for a mechanical CAD check of the enclosure. |

<Note>
  Gerbers are produced by `kicad-cli` from the same `.kicad_pcb` you download. There is no separate internal format.
